Ceremony at 4:30pm. Feast and dancing to immediately follow, concluding at 11:30pm. There is a parking lot parallel to the entrance, which you may use if you do not wish to take the provided transportation.
Stissing House is a tavern and restaurant originally built in 1782.
If you plan to attend our welcome party on Saturday, October 4th, please give yourself proper time to check into your accommodations, and make arrangements to arrive in the Hudson Valley by the early afternoon.
Of course. Many guests will arrive on Friday. We'll be in Hudson then, too, and would love to see you!
The Hudson Valley is the region that comprises the valley of the Hudson River (same river that meets the Atlantic Ocean surrounding Manhattan). The city of Hudson is where we'll be holding our welcome party, and where we've recommended as a home base.
We recommend LaGuardia or JFK if you want to spend some time in New York City before or after the wedding. If you wish to skip the city, fly into Albany International Airport.
Not necessarily. If you're coming up from New York City, you can take the train all the way to Hudson. However, you may choose to rent a car to do some exploring upstate! Depending on where you're staying (Catskill, for example, versus Hudson), you may need to traverse more land to get to our events. Ubers can be slow or few and far between upstate. Even though most hamlets are a short drive from one another, you may elect to rent a car for this reason alone. The exception to this advice is if you choose to stay in Hudson proper, as it's quite easy to get around on foot and you're very near the train station — Hudson Station is within walking distance to some airbnbs and hotels. This is the best scenario for you if A. you don't want to rent a car, and B. you'd like to be close to events — and near the hotel where we're staying (The Maker). If you're coming into Hudson from Albany, you can get into town by train on Amtrak. Same situation though: if you want the freedom to roam, rent a car. In the best way, this is very much a choose your own adventure kind of scenario. We want you to do whatever is most comfortable for you, and hope that you can set some time aside to enjoy your trip. We totally understand how much planning goes into traveling for weddings, and if you have any questions at all, just ask!
We will provide transportation on our wedding day to and from Stissing House. Pick up will depart at approximately 4pm from 20 S Front St in Hudson (at Wm. Farmer and Sons Hotel). More details will be provided as we get closer to the date.
Our welcome party will be in Hudson on Saturday, October 4th. Please check back soon for more details.
The entire ceremony and reception will take place indoors.
Early October marks the beginning of fall in the Hudson Valley, and usually lands right before the first frost. Temperatures can be relatively warm, with some days reaching the mid-70s°F. Overnight and early morning can be cool with lows in the 30s°F. Most importantly, we should have some leaves beginning to change color!

Please let Zach or Rebecca know by text. Accommodations can be made!
You will be able to rsvp through our website once we send out our formal invites. Stay tuned.
Our deadline to rsvp will be about three months before the wedding (think of the fourth of July as your approximate deadline) — and please check back in after our you receive our formal invitation. However, we're happy to count you in as soon as you know you're coming. Please feel free to text or call and let us know whenever you decide if you're attending.
Formal.

As much as we love your kids, this is an adults-only celebration. We hope you can enjoy a night off and leave your little ones at home — and truly appreciate you making arrangements to join the party!
